Experience the sacred music of Bach this April with Just Bach Concerts. Centered on Christ lag in Todesbanden (BWV 4), these performances feature an exceptional ensemble of Midwest artists, including Kirstin Knutson Berka (soprano), Patrick Terry (alto), Nick Chalmers (tenor), and Ryne Cherry (baritone), with period-instrument specialists Amelia Sie and Kiyoe Matsuura (violins) and Stephen Alltop (organ).
Join us at Luther Memorial Church for a free midday concert with audience chorale (April 15, noon) and an evening performance (April 17, 7 PM), or hear the program in the Milwaukee area at Trinity Episcopal Church (April 18, 3 PM).
Watch Just Bach Concerts performance of BWV 82 – Ich habe genug at Bach Around the Clock 2026!
On March 7th, Just Bach Concerts performed Johann Sebastian Bachโs cantata, BWV 82 – Ich habe genug at Bach Around the Clockโs festival finale concert at St. Andrewโs Episcopal Church. This performance featured baritone Ryne Cherry, with Stacey Berk on baroque oboe. Additional musicians included Amelia Sie and Anna Rasmussen on violin, Ilana Schroeder on viola, cellist Charlie Rasmussen, and Matthew OโSullivan on harpsichord. Just Bach Concerts would like to thank everyone who attended this wonderful performance and a special thanks to Kathy Otterson and the Bach Around the Clock board for having us for this yearโs festival! Happy Birthday to Johann Sebastian Bach!

Just Bach Concerts was founded to celebrate and to share with the Madison community at large the immense range of Bachโs vocal and instrumental repertoire. Just Bach Concerts presents performers who play and sing using historically-informed performance practice, bringing the music to life in a manner and style with which Bach was familiar. The audience is invited to sing along during the closing chorales โ because group singing is therapeutic!
Since 2018, Just Bach Concerts has presented their โMidday Seriesโ at Luther Memorial Church, a free concert series that celebrates the music of J.S. Bach and his contemporaries. This concert series is part of โMusic at Middayโ, a long running Wednesday concert series held from September to April at Luther Memorial Church in Madison.

We are extremely grateful to Pastor Brad Pohlman, music director Andrew Schaeffer, and the congregation of Luther Memorial Church for hosting Music at Midday, and for including Just Bach Concerts as a regular part of the series. Special thanks go to Dave Parminter, who records the videos. We invite the Madison community to spend a half-hour with the sublime music of J.S. Bach and hope you will find our performances of Bachโs music to be centering and inspiring.
